Santiago Aguilar is an active marching arts instructor in the Austin-San Antonio area. He first entered the drum corps scene during his junior year at James Bowie High School in (Austin, TX) and spent 6 years as a World Class performer with the Crossmen Drum and Bugle Corps (2016-2018) and Carolina Crown Drum and Bugle Corps (2019-2021). During this time, Santiago served as the Baritone/Euphonium section leader for Crossmen brass (2018) and was a member of the leadership team for CrownBRASS (2021). In addition, Santiago has performed in the WGI circuit as a cymbal performer with Violet Crown Independent (2018) and a baritone with Crossmen Winds (2019).
Santiago resides in San Antonio, TX, where he is a part of the instructional staff at Louis D. Brandeis High School Marching Band (San Antonio, TX) and Vandegrift High School Marching Band (Austin, TX). He is currently pursuing a Master’s of Science in Immunology and Infectious Diseases at the University of Texas Health Science Center-San Antonio.
