Richie Rodriguez

Richie is a percussion educator and designer from Southern California. His involvement with the drum corps community began in 2008. He marched bass drum at Pacific Crest(2009-2010) and the Santa Clara Vanguard(2011-2012).

He’s taught at WGI percussion groups such as Vanguard Winter Percussion (2014-2016) and Pulse Percussion (2017-2019)

He’s been on the percussion staff teaching the bass drum section since 2014. Since then group won the Fred Sanford Best Percussion Performance Award five times, in 2014, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019. Vanguard was also named the Drum Corps International World Champions in 2018.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from California State University, Long Beach.
