Jonny is a Southern California native and has actively been involved with marching percussion for more than a decade as a performer, educator, designer, and bass drum specialist. His performance experience includes the Velvet Knights, the RCC Marching Tigers, Pulse Percussion Open, Pulse Percussion, and the Santa Clara Vanguard. Jonny has also had the incredible opportunity to be featured as a musician on the hit television shows “Glee” and “Parks and Recreation”. He was a member of the 40 person snare line featured with DJ Steve Angelo at Coachella 2017 and toured Europe as a founding member of Top Shelf Brass Band.
As an educator and designer, Jonny has worked with numerous high schools and independent programs across Southern California. He had the privilege of working with a phenomenal educational team as a battery technician at the Troopers Drum and Bugle Corps from 2014-2019. He has also worked as a bass drum technician at Pulse Percussion from 2019-2020, the Blue Stars Drum and Bugle Corps from 2021-2022, and has been a featured clinician at the TAMUC percussion camp at Texas A&M Commerce.
Jonny currently works with Patriot High School, Canyon Springs High School, and Rancho Verde High School. Jonny is proudly an Innovative Percussion educational artist and a Zildjian educational artist.
