After experiencing several drum corps performances in his younger years, Joshua developed an interest and admiration for the professionalism, excellence, and passion the Santa Clara Vanguard displayed. The time marching the Cadet Corps in 2013 and 2014 and the A-Corps from 2015 through 2018 gave him the opportunity to learn and grow as a marching musician and person.
During the fall and winter seasons, Joshua played cymbals with Riverside Community College in 2017 and Pulse Percussion in 2019. He also taught at James Logan High School and Etiwanda High School as a cymbal technician for several years, allowing to learn him the intricacies of visual and musical design and experimentation with different playing styles.
Now, Joshua is focusing on studying nutrition and dietetics in community college while working as an assistant low-voltage technician in the Bay Area.
