Desmond Bigler is a percussionist and educator based in Texas. He just recently received a bachelor’s degree in Music Education from the University of North Texas where he was fortunate enough to study with Paul Rennick, Sandi Rennick, Dr. Dave Hall, Mark Ford, and Stockton Helbing. Desmond currently teaches at Hebron HS and is returning for his second year teaching with the Santa Clara Vanguard.
As a student, Desmond played in a wide variety of ensembles including the UNT Green Brigade Drumline, the multi-award winning UNT Quad Ensemble, the 2:00 Steel Band, UNT Percussion Ensemble, UNT Wind Orchestra, and many more including international performances in Ireland and Poland.
Desmond was a marching member of the Santa Clara Vanguard Quadline in 2022, the Troopers DBC Quadline in 2021, and the Rhythmic Force Percussion Quadline from 2019-2020.
