Shannon McGhee is an Executive Coach and Team Facilitator with EngagedLeadership, based out of Lewes, Delaware. She brings over 30 years of experience including a successful track record as a former head of Human Resources in the defense industry where she oversaw Compliance, Talent Acquisition, Performance Management, Employee Relations, Compensation and Training. Shannon was a key player in developing and implementing infrastructure including organizational training and quality programs such as ISO and CMMI to institutionalize procedural consistency and ensure repeatable success. As a leadership consultant and instructional designer, she now works across multiple industries with a special focus in entertainment, video game development, visual effects and high tech/engineering. Shannon’s first-hand experience with the demands of today’s fast-paced work world enable her to coach leaders through replacing ineffective habits with new mindsets and techniques that get traction and success in the “real” world.

Shannon has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from California State University, Fullerton, and certifications in Human Resources Management and Advanced Compensation & Benefits from the University of California, San Diego. She holds several industry recognized certifications including: Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), the DISC assessment, Lominger’s Leadership Architect Competency Modeling, Development Dimensions International (DDI), Situational Leadership, ASTD Instructional Design and SHRM’s SPHR accreditation.
Shannon is a proud alumna of the 1990 and 1991 Santa Clara Vanguard Colorguard. After her age out year, she returned to work on Miss Amana for the 1992 season. She is currently a member of the VMAPA Governance Committee and a Project Manager on the Vanguard Historical Society’s Decades Project.
