Rob Schiller is currently the Senior Vice President & CFO for the North Carolina Symphony where his responsibilities include managing the orchestra’s finances, government funding, HR, and IT activities. Prior to starting with the North Carolina Symphony in 2004, he was the Manager of Budget and Finance at the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. Earlier in his career, he served as the Deputy Director of the Choral Arts Society of Washington.
Rob has a Bachelor of Music degree with an Arts Management concentration from James Madison University and a Master of General Administration with a concentration in Financial Management from the University of Maryland Global Campus. Rob was a percussionist – participating throughout college in marching band, wind ensemble, orchestra, and percussion ensemble.
Rob received a CFO of the Year Award from the Triangle Business Journal and a Top CFO Award from Business Leader Magazine. Rob has run three full marathons and completed the 208-mile Blue Ridge Relay with a team of friends. Rob lives in Raleigh, NC with his wife, Lisa. He has two daughters, Allison and Abby.
