Ed Roush has been a music educator for the past thirty-one years in the states of Colorado, Texas, Hawaii and Indiana . He has taught students at the middle, junior and high school levels as well as being on the education team of multiple drum and bugle corps.
During his teaching career, Ed has been a part of two Drum Corps International World Championships, a finalist at Bands of America Grand National Championships, 16 Colorado Bandmasters Association State Band Championships, 3 Colorado Bandmasters Association State Concert Band Honor selections, 2 Rose Bowl Parade performances and 2 London New Year’s Day Parades. He was awarded the 2009 School, Band and Orchestra Magazine’s National “50 Teachers Who Make a Difference” annual award as Colorado’s representative. Bands taught by Ed have played for the leaders and presidents of Canada, Japan, Germany, France, the United Kingdom, European Union, Russia, Italy and the United States of America. Ed has served as a faculty member at the Bands of America Summer Symposium for the past 24 years. He has been a member of the educational staff at The Cavaliers, Crossmen and Santa Clara Vanguard.
From 1982 through 1992 Ed’s family organized an annual picnic for the Santa Clara Vanguard the night before Drums Along the Rockies in Denver, Colorado featuring a neighborhood potluck and standstill performance.
