Tyler has a long history with the Santa Clara Vanguard, beginning with two summers in the A corps (2006-2007), four years performing with the SCV Winter Guard (2008-2011), and two years teaching the winter guard (2013-2014). He has now been on the SCV instruction and design staff since 2019.

Outside of SCV, Tyler performed with Leigh HS, Sacramento Mandarins, The Cavaliers, and Blast!

Currently, Tyler lives in Indianapolis, IN and is the color guard director at Center Grove High School. In addition to his director role, Tyler is a choreographer for multiple groups including Paramount, Origins, Etude, Westlake HS, and Yokohama Inspires.
