Abby MacLeay has many years of color guard experience as both a performer and educator. She was born and raised in South Florida, where her color guard career began. She performed with G. Holmes Braddock High School, Braddock Independent World, The Magic of Orlando, and The Cadets.
Professionally, Abby began teaching the visual program at John A. Ferguson High School in 2006 and the movement program at Cypress Bay High School in 2011. She kept both positions until 2013 when she moved to Massachusetts. She was an instructor with the Cadets color guard from 2014 to 2019, and a movement choreographer for The Spartans color guard 2014 – 2016, and again in 2024. Most recently, she was a movement instructor and choreographer for Billerica Memorial High School winter guard from 2015-2024.
Abby holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Salem State University in Elementary Ed. and works as an HR Administrator at Coralogix, Inc. She is excited to be back with Vanguard for her second summer!
