Throughout history the Santa Clara Vanguard has been known for having a powerful drumline, and Paul Siebert played a major role in setting that standard. For 7 years, from 1967-1975, Paul Siebert served as SCV’s center snare and percussion section leader. Under his reign, the percussion section rose to new heights and the Santa Clara Vanguard enjoyed great success, having won their first championship title in 1970, and subsequent titles in 1971, 1973 and 1974. His talents, loyalty and commitment to integrity made him a cornerstone of the Vanguard percussion section. He was an incredible role model for many members and continues to be an inspiration to players today.
