This is Brett’s first year serving as the assistant chef on Miss Amana. His journey in the food industry began at age 18, working as a server and bartender in a casual restaurant. Over time, he transitioned into fine dining, where his role evolved into that of a line cook at several well-known establishments. His dedication and leadership eventually led him into kitchen management.
In 2022, Brett joined the Escambia School District as an assistant kitchen manager. A year later, he became both a cook and an accountant for the University of West Florida’s food services department. In 2024, he stepped into the role of food truck manager for Music City, overseeing operations from pre-tour through the full tour season.
When he’s not in the kitchen or serving others, Brett shares his passion for performance as a color guard instructor. He currently lives in Raleigh, North Carolina, where he serves as the guard director at NC State. His greatest joy lies in teaching, serving, and bringing happiness to those around him.
