JOIN THE 2026 SCV MEDIA TEAM
Thank you for your interest in joining the SCV Media Team! We’re looking for passionate, well-rounded content creators with a combination of photo, video, and social media experience to come on tour and help tell the Vanguard story. Selected applicants(s) will be responsible for creating documentary-style and social media focused content to promote the organization and our corporate partners/sponsors.
Available Positions:
- Photographer – We’re looking for talented photographers with strong technical skills and a creative point of view. Ideal candidates should have some experience with sports/action photography and capturing compelling images to tell a story.
- Videographer – Tour videographers are responsible for filming and editing a wide-range of content including short form videos, sponsor/partner ads, and episodes for our documentary series. Experience with setting up interviews, shooting in challenging environments, and editing on a deadline is preferred.
- Social Media Coordinator – Are you a social media superstar? We’re hoping to find a passionate brand ambassador with the skills to create engaging photo and video content on the fly. This role is all about creatively capturing life on tour with SCV and sharing it with the world.
Desired Attributes: team player, hardworking, self-sufficient, takes direction well, passionate, creative, knowledge of DCI/marching arts, outgoing, strong attention to detail.
Our 2026 season begins in Idaho with early move-ins on May 23 and lasts through our post-finals banquet on August 9 in Indianapolis. We are not expecting applicants to work the full duration of the tour, so partial summer commitments can be accommodated.
All media team members will report to the Program Marketing Manager and will work closely with SCV corps leadership and administrative team while on tour. Roles on the media team are paid positions with compensation rates based on level of experience and time spent on tour or working remotely.
