Eddie Montoya has been a designer and marketing specialist for over 20 years, with experience spanning tech startups, small businesses, and nonprofit organizations. Since joining Vanguard Music and Performing Arts in late 2021, he has led a full website overhaul, managed sponsor partnerships, revitalized Vanguard Bingo marketing to achieve record results, and produced much of the artwork for the Vanguard Store.
Beyond Vanguard, Eddie’s artwork is featured in the boardsports industry on skateboards, snowboards, wakeboards, and Onewheel products, including designs for The Floatlife. His portfolio can be found on Instagram at @emontoyaart.
An alumnus of both the Freelancers Drum and Bugle Corps and the Santa Clara Vanguard (1993–1996), Eddie served as bass drum section leader, won Marching Performer of the Year twice, and led SCV’s bass line to three consecutive DCI Bass Drum Ensemble titles.
Eddie lives in the Madera Ranchos in Central California with his wife, two daughters, five dogs, and three cats. He continues to give back to the marching arts as a percussion instructor at Madera High School and is proud to have served on the staff of Sparta Indoor Percussion, an independent open-class ensemble based in San Jose, CA.
