Vanguard Voices: Episode 4

Feb 21, 2021 | Santa Clara Vanguard, Blog Post, Alumni

To honor Black History Month, four of the most incomparable figures in our community sat down to talk about their early upbringing in the activity, how the Civil Rights Movement affected drum corps and how they see change happening, as well as some of their all-time greatest Vanguard memories and stories from back in the day!

These G.O.A.T’s give us a full hour of facts, laughs and priceless tears that are worth every minute. Thank you so much to Wayne Harris, Ralph Hardimon, Marlieta Matthews and Michael James for your endless influence on all of us and to the activity as a whole!
