Vanguard Music and Performing Arts (VMAPA), an internationally acclaimed non-profit performing arts organization and the home of multiple performing programs including two world champion drum and bugle corps, the Santa Clara Vanguard and the Vanguard Cadets, today announced the appointment of board members Michael Kovalich and Jeremy Van Wert to serve as interim co-executive directors of the organization, as Brett Bernardini is no longer employed with the organization.
“These are challenging times for all nonprofit organizations, but we are fortunate that Michael and Jeremy will bring significant experience and leadership to help position VMAPA for a stable financial future while we kick off a nationwide search for a new full-time executive director,” said Laura Norris, Chair, VMAPA Board of Directors.
In addition to the Santa Clara Vanguard and Vanguard Cadets, VMAPA is home to the Youth Percussion Ensemble, Youth Brass Ensemble, and Santa Clara Big Band.
