Santa Clara, CA- (September 2022): Vanguard Music and Performing Arts (VMAPA) is excited to share that Rebecca Compton-Allen has accepted the position of Director of Project Management. As Corps Director of The Santa Clara Vanguard in 2022, Rebecca diligently navigated the corps through the first competitive season after a two year hiatus. As the Director of Project Management she will play a key role in VMAPA’s strategic planning, infrastructure improvement, and administrative operations.

Previous to 2022, Rebecca worked with Shadow Drum & Bugle Corps, where she spent 8 years in a variety of roles from Front Ensemble Technician to Executive Director. Rebecca has also taught and directed various music ensembles in Minnesota, Wisconsin, South Dakota, and California for the past 17 years. Her performing experience includes Minnesota Brass Drum & Bugle Corps, the Sioux Falls Symphony Orchestra, the University of Wisconsin Madison Symphony Orchestra, and more. Rebecca holds a Bachelor’s degree in child psychology from the University of Minnesota and has a professional background in behavioral therapy specializing in the area of Autism spectrum disorders.
