ROMAN LOMAS marched Synthesizer for SCV and aged-out for the 2024 season. He also has marched Synthesizer for The Cadets in 2023 and WGI’s Rhythmic Force Percussion for the 2022-2023 seasons. He looks forward on continuing with SCV as a staff member on the Audio Staff.
Currently, Roman is studying to become a music educator at Texas State University and studies bassoon under Professor Daris Hale. He also participates in the oboe studio and studies oboe under Dr. Ian Davidson. As a full-time student, Roman has participated in the Texas State Wind Symphony, Symphony Orchestra, Symphonic Winds, Bobcat Marching Band, and much more during his time at Texas State University. Along with performing, Roman has also accompanied many students within the School of Music on piano.
Outside of school, Roman teaches woodwinds and synths at Claudia Taylor Johnson High School in San Antonio, Texas. Lastly, Roman teaches private lessons to bassoon and oboe students in the Bastrop/Manor areas of Texas. He loves to help out as much as he can and partakes in a variety of things.
Entering his first year as an audio staff member for Santa Clara Vanguard, Roman hopes to learn as much as he can and wants to help out in anyway he can throughout his time with SCV for the 2025 season.
