Cyd has over 30 years experience in corporate sales, marketing, and promotion and 9 years in the broadcasting field in the Bay Area.
Cyd has recently retired after 11 years with the California Academy of Sciences in San Francisco. Her responsibilities were to develop, analyze and generate revenue for the Academy. Cyd was part of the opening team of the California Academy of Sciences in 2008 and in 1998 opened up Marine World Africa USA in Vallejo. She was with NBC/Universal Studios as a Regional Manager based in the Bay Area and prior to that she was the Western Regional Manager with Anheuser Busch Adventure Parks (representing SeaWorld San Diego, Sea World Orlando, SeaWorld San Antonio, Busch Games Tampa and Busch Tampa Williamsburg). Cyd started her career in broadcasting with KBHK-TV, followed by KPIX-TV.
Cyd has volunteered with many non-profits. These include as a running mentor with Leukemia & Lymphoma Society – Team In Training, and San Francisco Football Bowl Association. She assists with many parades with Upbeat Parade Production. Her current volunteer project is the California Academy of Sciences and coordinating the Museum4Inclusion – Diversity Trade Show.
Cyd holds a B.S. in Telecommunications & Film from San Diego State University, and a MBA with University of Phoenix in Marketing. Cyd has run over 110 marathons, becoming a member of the 50 State Marathon Club by completing a marathon in every state. Cyd lives in Walnut Creek with her husband. She has 2 daughters and 2 grandsons.
