Cole Nasman is a percussion educator and performer who received his master’s degree in music performance from the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music (2022), and his bachelor’s degree in music performance from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (2020). While at IU, Cole also served as an Associate Instructor in the percussion department where he taught private lessons, directed the Brazilian ensemble, and lectured in other music courses.
With a strong interest in world music, Cole is devoted to studying and researching the music of different cultures, primarily the Middle East, Brazil, and Cuba. As a performer, Cole has been honored by the Percussive Arts Society as a soloist and chamber musician, and has also performed with top orchestras in school and as a substitute with the Madison Symphony Orchestra. Cole’s love for music began early in his life when growing up in Naperville, Illinois.
