Brandon Schultz

Brandon is a music theorist, composer, and arranger, and educator. He has spent the last year freelancing while also working as a special education Paraeducator in the state of Minnesota. This will be Brandon’s first year working with the Santa Clara Vanguard.

Brandon pursed his Bachelor of Music at Stetson University in Deland, Florida where he was awarded the degree of Music Theory. While at Stetson, Brandon was a member of the Symphonic Band, Concert Band, Athletic Bands, Brass Choir, the Symphony Orchestra. He is currently pursuing a double Master of Music in Music Theory/Composition and History/Literature at Southern Illinois University. While at Southern Illinois, Brandon has been a part of the SIU Wind Ensemble, Jazz Orchestra and Southern Illinois Symphony. While at SIU, Brandon was a graduate assistant in the Music Theory department as a teaching assistant and teacher.

Brandon started his drum corps journey playing mellophone as a chart member of Heat Wave in 2015 and returned for the 2016 season. Brandon played mellophone as a member of Southwind in 2017. In 2022, Brandon was an administrative intern for the Troopers during their return to World Class finals. Brandon was the Equipment Manager for Southwind during their 2023 season.
