At the center of every strong drum corps is a strong team of member leadership who serves the corps both on and off the field. As a liaison between performers and staff, this team of veteran members takes on additional responsibility, puts in the extra effort to lead by example, and sets a standard for the entire group. We are proud to announce our 2018 Santa Clara Vanguard Brass Leadership Team: Stone Wang, Thomas Hubel, Katie Christensen, and Jack Hawkins DeCaire!
“We are very excited about the leadership for 2018. With two returning leaders and two of our strongest members in new positions, it’s as strong of a team as I’ve seen. These members collectively have over 15 years invested in the Vanguard organization and their dedication and service have helped paved the way for our most recent successes as a drum corps,” said Chip Crotts, SCV Brass Caption Manager. “They are great people, great musicians and great leaders who work very well with our staff and administration. We put a strong emphasis on leadership development at SCV and its importance to the mission of the drum corps, and we are thrilled to have Stone, Katie, Thomas and Jack as our Brass Leadership for 2018!”
