🚀 Santa Clara Vanguard Announces Jet Pack Soloist Auditions 🚀

In a continued effort to push the boundaries of innovation, performance, and Earthly physics, the Santa Clara Vanguard is pleased to announce auditions for our newest featured position on… well, ABOVE the field: Jet Pack Soloists!

That’s right — for the first time in drum corps history, performers will take their talents to the sky, combining elite musical ability with precision aerial maneuvering.

Selected soloists will:

• Perform while in controlled flight above the field
• Execute choreographed aerial drill formations
• Deliver face-melting solos… from 50 feet in the air

Requirements:

• World-class musical proficiency
• Strong stage presence and performance ability
• Prior jet pack experience (required — no exceptions)
• Ability to hover in time and phrase musically while airborne
• Comfortable performing at high altitudes in front of thousands

Audition Process:

All interested candidates must complete the official application form and submit:

• A video of your musical performance
• A demonstration of your jet pack control and stability
• Optional: freestyle aerial solo (strongly encouraged)

⚠️ Important: Due to limited airspace above the field, audition spots are extremely competitive. Early submissions are strongly encouraged.
