This audition is an individualized one-on-one audition experience. Review this letter from Color Guard Caption Manager Daniel Riley and the following instructions for your individual audition time slot. The link to sign up for your time can be found in your email confirmation after you pay for this event.
During this audition, you should be prepared to perform the following:
Equipment:
Technique (please demonstrate on each piece of equipment you can spin):
Spins on both right and left sides
Standard tosses (Flag – up to a double – 2 different 45 tosses of your choice; Weapons – up to 6’s or 7’s)
1 minute of flag choreography (required of all)
1 minute of weapon choreography (required of those auditioning for a weapon spot)
Movement:
“Across the floor” exercises
Going in and out of ground
Variety of leaps and jumps
Turns
1 minute of dance choreography (required of all)
Equipment tricks, advanced movement skills, or any other special talents you would like to show us!
You should expect feedback and grades in the days following your audition.
