SCV26 Color Guard Satellite Audition – Austin

This audition is an individualized one-on-one audition experience. Review this letter from Color Guard Caption Manager Daniel Riley and the following instructions for your individual audition time slot. The link to sign up for your time can be found in your email confirmation after you pay for this event.
During this audition, you should be prepared to perform the following:
Equipment:
Technique (please demonstrate on each piece of equipment you can spin):
Spins on both right and left sides
Standard tosses (Flag – up to a double – 2 different 45 tosses of your choice; Weapons – up to 6’s or 7’s)

1 minute of flag choreography (required of all)
1 minute of weapon choreography (required of those auditioning for a weapon spot)
Movement:
“Across the floor” exercises
Going in and out of ground
Variety of leaps and jumps
Turns
1 minute of dance choreography (required of all)
Equipment tricks, advanced movement skills, or any other special talents you would like to show us!
- Campus Map and Parking: Below is a campus map for you to use to get to your warm up and audition spaces. Parking is in the marching band parking lot

- Check In and Warm Up: There is no check in upon arrival, please have everything required of you taken care of ahead of time (liability form, time slot selected, etc) so that you can get the most out of your audition time. You can arrive up to 30 minutes before your assigned audition time. You should begin making your way to your audition room five minutes before your scheduled time and await your turn
- Equipment: Equipment will NOT be provided for you by SCV or Bowie High School. Please plan to arrive with your own equipment
You should expect feedback and grades in the days following your audition.

- Invitation to April Callback Camp
- Not this year, you will receive feedback for future growth
