2017 Vanguard Winter Percussion

Aug 1, 2016 | News

Vanguard Winter Percussion will be on an interlude for the 2017 competitive season.
As we go into our organization’s 50th anniversary we are working to offer various programs to our DCI, WGI, local competitive and educational communities.

Finding the right combination of staff, membership, rehearsal facilities, and resources is always a challenge in any performing arts unit. With this hiatus we will be able to realign the goals of the Vanguard Winter Percussion to serve the mission of our organization in future seasons.

“We will continue to use our resources to find new ways to offer increased opportunities for participation, education, and excellence in the performing arts.”
Charles Frost, Executive Director

Any percussionist interested in participating in our private lesson program are welcomed to email ahill@scvanguard.org to sign up for a lesson time.

We are also looking for three percussionist to fill out the percussion section of our youth brass ensemble starting again in January 2017. Email ahill@scvanguard.org for more information.

VWP Director Nate Bourg departed after the 2016 season to focus on other career endeavors, but worked with the Administration prior to his departure to brainstorm future plans for the program. A special thank you to Nate and the entire VWP staff for all that they have done to make our organization a success. We look forward to returning to WGI and NCPA in the near future.
