BRASS WORKSHOP WITH CHIP CROTTS (Thursday, March 15 at 7:00 PM)
Led by SCV Brass Caption Manager, Dr. Chip Crotts, this workshop will focus on the fundamentals of brass playing and help you effectively structure and organize daily techniques in a way that promotes a healthier and happier musician. Whether you are a young student, experienced performer, or a music educator, this workshop will give you the tools to help reach your full potential as a brass player.

DANCE WORKSHOP WITH CAROL ABOHATAB (Thursday, March 15 at 7:00 PM)
Get Ready to Move, and be moved! In this dance workshop, SCV Choreographer Carol Abohatab will explore current dance trends while showing you how to utilize contemporary techniques and improvisation to create and shape phrases. Whether you’re a current, future, or former color guard performer; a dancer from the community; or even a drummer/horn player looking to gain more experience, this workshop will provide you with the tools you need to become a stronger dancer.

PERFORMANCE WORKSHOP WITH WAYNE HARRIS (Thursday, March 29 at 7:00 PM)
This workshop, led by SCV Performance Coach Wayne Harris, is designed to provide students who are interested in the pageantry arts with an experience to explore theater improvisation, character development, and the creation of a narrative or subtext to enhance their performance. This workshop will be divided into three parts: improv games, character development, and the creation of a narrative.

PERCUSSION WORKSHOP WITH PAUL RENNICK (Thursday, April 26 at 7:00 PM)
Join SCV Percussion Arranger and Caption Manager, Paul Rennick, for a front row seat as he demonstrates the Vanguard approach to drumming, technique, and musicianship. This workshop is perfect for music students and educators alike who are looking to widen their views on percussion performance and gain a better understanding of the things we do at Vanguard.

HIP HOP DANCE WORKSHOP WITH MICHAEL ROSALES (Thursday, April 26 at 7:00 PM)
Michael Rosales is a new addition to the SCV Design Team this year as Lead Choreographer, and now this is your chance to learn from him! His exciting and dynamic dance workshop is designed for beginner to intermediate level students who are looking to study the basics and foundations of Hip Hop choreography. The two-hour class will focus on isolations, body lines, musicality, choreography, and performance.
