To sign up and receive more information for Vanguard and Vanguard Cadets 2018 auditions, you will need to create a MySCV account , as well as fill out the 2018 audition questionnaire and check the specific Vanguard program in which you have an interest in pursuing (Vanguard or Vanguard Cadets). From there, we will send you additional information as the dates draw closer!
The cost to attend the Vanguard or Vanguard Cadets weekend Clinic & Audition sessions will be $125. Prospective members registering or walking in on the day-of will pay $150. The ONE-DAY audition sessions in Orlando and Houston will be $100 if you’re pre-registered by the day before the audition begins. Prospective members registering or walking in on the day-of a ONE-DAY audition will pay $125.

*Cymbal auditions for Vanguard & Vanguard Cadets will only be hosted at the three California auditions.
After the first round of auditions, if you are offered a callback for the Santa Clara Vanguard, you will be required to attend a second round audition camp in San Jose, CA. If you are in the Brass or Percussion sections, your Callback Camp will be held in January, and if you are in the Color Guard, your Callback Camp will be held in April. If you are offered a callback for the Vanguard Cadets, your callback camp will be held in February. Specific dates will be announced for these camps at a later time.
After the second round of auditions, if you are offered membership in the SCV Brass or Percussion sections, you will be required to attend four Winter Rehearsal Camps in San Jose, CA. Those offered membership in Vanguard Cadets will be required to attend three separate rehearsal camps as well. Similar to our Weekend Clinic & Audition Camps, these are held one weekend each month and housing, transportation and food are all provided. Attendance at all Winter Rehearsal Camps is mandatory unless there is an approved school conflict. Dates for these rehearsal camps will be announced at a later time.
