Are you ready to start your 2020 drum corps adventure with the Santa Clara Vanguard? Whether it’s your first time auditioning or you’re hoping to return to the organization for another season, we are eager to welcome you at one of our 6 upcoming audition events! Your journey to excellence starts here, with just 3 easy steps:
Step 1: First you will need to create a MySCV account (or login to your existing account) and fill out the 2020 audition questionnaire! Check the specific Vanguard program(s) in which you have an interest in pursuing, so from here on out we will be sure to keep you updated with additional information. Don’t forget to keep your profile updated with current contact information and a recent photo!
Step 2: Now that you’re logged into MySCV and we know a little more about you, it’s time to RSVP for a 2020 audition event! We offer both weekend and one-day auditions, each designed to bring you the full Vanguard Experience. At our weekend auditions, meals and housing are provided. Don’t forget to bring an air mattress, toiletries, and a towel! One-day auditions typically run from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and lunch is provided.

The cost to attend one of our weekend audition events is $150 when paying in advance, and $200 at the door. The cost to attend our one-day audition events in Orlando or Houston is $100 when paying in advance, and $200 at the door. (Prospective members who audition at one of our one-day events will have an additional fee of $50 if they are invited to attend callbacks in January/April)
Step 3: After you’ve gotten all signed up for an audition, it’s time to start preparing! We will send you a confirmation email that includes a 2020 Prospective Member Packet as well as applicable Brass Technique Packets. Keep in mind that we’re looking for prospective members who are good movers and great players with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
