DESCRIPTION:This audition is an individualized one-on-one audition experience. Review the following instructions for your individual audition time slot. The link to sign up for your time can be found in your email confirmation after you pay for this event. \n\nDuring this audition\, you should be prepared to perform the following (visual materials will be sent to you September 24th):\n\n\nTechnical etude of your choice\nLyrical etude of your choice\nFull range chromatic scale\nDance audition\nMarching audition\n\n\n\nCampus Map and Parking: Below is a campus map for you to use to get to the school of music at UNT. Parking is available in lots 26 and 4. Avoid lot 27 – this is a resident lot and you will be ticketed! \n \nAddress for Mobile Map Directions: 415 Avenue C\, Denton\, TX 76201 \nCheck In and Warm Up: You should check in with SCV admin at the entrance to the building. You can arrive up to 30 minutes before your assigned audition time and warm up in the 2nd floor orchestra room. You should begin making your way to the recital hall (Room 1) or choir room (Room 2) for your audition 5 minutes before your scheduled time and await your turn \nEquipment: Equipment will NOT be provided for you by SCV or UNT. Please plan to arrive with your own equipment \nYou should expect feedback and grades in the days following your audition.\n \n\n\nContract! DESCRIPTION:UNT BLAST! Featuring seven-time DCI world champion Santa Clara Vanguard\nUniversity of North Texas (UNT) College of Music Wind Studies and Santa Clara Vanguard are excited to host a one-day educational marching event\, UNT Blast\, on Thursday\, July 18\, 2024 on the UNT campus. Participants are invited to campus for the day to learn\, rehearse\, and perform with the staff and members of Santa Clara Vanguard through a variety of sessions and events. \nParticipants will need to bring their own instrument. \nHigh school band students and directors are invited to experience the day individually or as a group. Discounts available for band directors bringing 10 or more students.* Tuition and fees include instruction\, t-shirt\, lunch and dinner\, and a ticket to the DCI show. \n*Band directors bringing a minimum of 10 students\, please email music.camps@unt.edu for a coupon code for your students to receive a $50 tuition discount. \nLocation\nEverything will be housed on UNT campus followed by the DCI Denton show at DATCU Stadium at UNT. \nRegistration Deadline\nJuly 1\, 2024 \nTuition & Fees\nTuition: $125\nNon-refundable registration fee: $25 \nRegistration & Refund Policies\nPayment is due in full at the time of registration. \nRefund information: Refunds requested by June 1\, 2024 will be honored less a processing fee ($2.9% of total paid + $0.30) and the $25 non-refundable application fee.
