Corps Director

Gio Bastante

Gio has been an active member of the administrative team at Santa Clara Vanguard since 2018. Throughout her time with the organization she has served in many roles, most recently as the SCV Corps Manager. She has also assisted other programs including Vanguard Cadets, Parade of Champions, and has been actively involved with the VMAPA Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee.

Gio has additional experience with music education and administration outside of DCI, with PIA Gold Medalist STRYKE Percussion, Infinity Percussion (PIW), and many successful marching arts programs in the Orlando, Florida area where she is located. Her marching arts career includes being a member of the Front Ensemble with the Boston Crusaders as well as various music ensembles and winter guards during her time as a student. She is a graduate of Florida State University.
