The 2009 Santa Clara Vanguard Winter Guard present...

This season the Santa Clara Vanguard Winter Guard presents "The Kiss." Performed over a musical background of '9 Crimes' by Damien Rice and 'The Kiss' by Jon Vanderkolff, this season's program explores the beauty, complexity and conflict surrounding a single kiss.

Depending on the viewer's perspective, The Kiss presents elements of the commonly shared experience of longing to be with someone versus knowing that it can never happen; the emotional dreams of the heart versus the reality of the moment. Spectators will find the performance moves toward the increasing conflict of the heart and mind.
