The proclamation of "Eureka!" has long been used to celebrate a sudden discovery; to announce, "I have found it!" It also is the motto of Santa Clara Vanguard's home state. Celebrating 40 years of finding the perfect blend of innovation and entertainment, "!" (pronounced "Eureka!") is a festival of invention, full of nonstop energy.
Musically, the program relies on a number of classically focused pieces from composing greats including Ravel, Bartok and Respighi.
Visually, be on the lookout for all types of puzzle references, as the corps works to put all the pieces together by the end, leaving audience members exclaiming, "Eureka!" when the solution has been found.
