Santa Clara Vanguard, a six-time DCI World Champion, presents Moto Perpetuo, a composition by Key Poulan, Brian Mason and Mike Jackson. Set to the contemporary sounds of symphonic and jazz idioms, Vanguard explores the energy of continuous motion through movement and music.

A single catalyst ignites "Chains of Reaction," causing an explosive pinball reaction of cause and effect events. "Newton's Cradle," explores the pendulum effect of momentum and energy through a fun, swinging jazz feel. In "Echoes of Time," the percussion sounds off as an echo to a lush brass choral, reflection on the passage of time. In "Speed of Sight," vigorous and unrelenting motion revolves around a sole individual who moves as if in a different dimension, one who ultimately marches forward into the realm of the future.
