Celebrating their forty-sixth year of continuous performance, Santa Clara Vanguard is pleased to announce another Pacific Procession Drum Corps International Tour Event on Monday, June 24, 2013 at 6:30PM. The event will be hosted at Santa Clara High School and will be the ONLY drum corps event in the city of Santa Clara and the South Bay in 2013.

It's that time of year - drum corps season is almost just around the corner and we're looking for volunteers to fill food prep spots, medically-trained volunteers applying ice to swollen ankles, washing a uniform or collecting tickets at an event. We are certainly in need of these specific volunteers during the summer of 2013!

SCV-TV, the organization's network for streaming video, is offering the most recent content from each program offered by the Vanguard organization. 2012 summer footage, Winter and Spring camps from 2012 and NOW 2013 winter activities, rehearsal and historical content already added, featuring Vanguard, Vanguard Cadets, Winter Percussion and Winter Guard segments. Historical content from some of the Vanguard's past summer programs has recently been added, as well.

SCV Winter Guard Captures Bronze at WGI Championship in Dayton, OH

Santa Clara Vanguard Winter Guard captured a bronze medal at the 2013 WGI Color Guard Championships on Saturday, April 13 with a magnificent performance of their program 'Silent Voices' jumping 1.7 to a 95.00, with their total score improving 3.5 in two days. The guard performed confidently and expressively in the Friday Semi-Finals competition, resulting in a 1.8 increase in score (91.5 to 93.3) and one place advance from Thursday's quarter-finals. The Color Guard Championship Finals take place at the University of Dayton Arena, in Dayton, OH

Classical presentations, contemporary wind ensemble pieces, smash Broadway musicals and even Pop music (in the very early years of the corps' existence) have graced the football field during Vanguard performances.
