Santa Clara is pleased to announce the recent appointment of Jennifer Leseth as the color guard caption manager heading into the 2009 summer color guard audition season. "Jenifo" has more than 25 years of performance, design, and instruction experience. She has performed with the Phantom Regiment Cadets, Phantom Regiment and The Cadets of Bergen County. Her winter guard performing career included five seasons with the Guardsmen of Schaumburg (IL), two seasons with State Street Review of Madison (WI) and two seasons with Escapade of Dayton (OH).
"Jennifer is a seasoned professional who has an extensive background in creating and building successful guard programs. Having taught Jennifer as a performer, her work ethic, creativity and attention to detail will be a perfect match for both the winter and summer programs at Vanguard. I look forward to seeing her brilliance in the gym and on the field," stated the Vanguard's Staff Coordinator Denise Bonfiglio."Jennifer's experience in performance and design will be a major step in bolstering our overall visual program," added Peter Weber, the Vanguard's drill designer and visual coordinator.
As a designer and instructor Jennifer's drum corps experience includes the Bluecoats (OH), Crossmen (PA), Phantom Regiment (IL), Madison Scouts (WI) and most recently Carolina Crown (SC). She worked for eight years with the Bands of America titlist Marian Catholic High School Band from Chicago Heights (IL), and two years with the noted Spring (TX) Band. Most recently, her work can be seen with the award-winning Plymouth-Canton (MI) High School Band and winter program. Jennifer's vision for her color guards has drawn praise from fans, judges, as well as the performers.
