Staff and members of the 2009 Vanguard Winter Guard International World Class Champions will offer a one-day clinic for serious color guard personnel interested in improving their skills in movement, as well as on flag, saber and/or rifle on Sunday, October 11, in San Jose, CA.This clinic will serve color guard participants who have at least one season (or summer camp) of experience in fall, winter or summer color guard. Serious color guard students are encouraged to attend, as this clinic will address color guard skill development for any future school, drum corps or winter guard auditions, as well as give students tips on how to improve over the coming 2009 band season.
The clinic will be held on Sunday, October 11 from 10 am to 5 pm (check-in and registration begins at 9 am) in the James Lick High School gymnasium, 57 White Road, San Jose, 95727. Lunch will be provided. Information has recently been mailed to all high school and junior high color guards, as well as independent winter color guards in the Bay area.
Discounts will be available for school or independent groups of seven or more students ($50 per student - groups of seven or more). Check with your school band director or color guard director and call 408-727-5532 x20 for more information.

Please download this PDF form (Registration, Medical Form) and bring it with you (with parental signature if under 18-years-of-age) to the Registration/Check-In at James Lick High School gymnasium on Sunday morning, October 11. Registration/Check-in will begin at 9 AM, the clinic begins at 10 am.
Individual pre-paid participants ($60), as well as pre-arranged groups will be offered express check-in on Sunday morning of the clinic. Make sure you bring your flag, rifle and/or saber, as well as clothing suitable for easy movement. Weather-permitting, there will be some time spent outside the gymnasium.
Registration at the door on the morning of the clinic will be $70 per student.
